Message actions. If he states something that he feels is true and is willing to do experimentation to prove it then so be it. I did not see where in any post he stated that everyone should go out and do this to their engine. Any logical person should search and research something before they do it. Once they do and they realize that this seems to be a radical change from status quo thinking they should proceed with caution.

In my past professional field of pharmaceutical R&D people within a limited community would always talk about various ways of approaching different experiments. Some where new and it didn't mean that other scientist didn't possibly incorporate this different method when confronted in a situation to where it might applicable. If drug discovery wasn't such a cut throat money making bsiness the community that these hypotheses were conveyed towouldbe much larger. SoI look at ash as just another scientist who is conveying a thought of how something might work better.

I brought up the point of his EPROM because of the aforementioned reasons. When he was stating step by step of how he was going to do a reprogramming and make somethings better than what he had seen around everyone said he didn't know what he was doing and engines would be blowing. Basically I liked his approach of keeping everyone informed at various steps of the development and the education he lent people. When your doing R&D in various controlled enviroments you have other literature and collegues to talk to and get feed backalong the way. I look at TT.net as his controlled enviroment and the members as his collegues.

Last I checked car engineers used EGR systems on cars for emissions and to keep engine temps down, however a lot of people (including myself) have taken it off. Is there a possibilty of my engine temps being higher and putting myself at risk of detonating quicker tan if I had an EGR...sure is. i aware of that though and I thought for me the rewards outweighed the risks. Anyone that blows up there engine from doing such a radical change to their engine in my eyes deserves no sympathy since they should have researched and been aware of the danger.
